Film v Print

I think the biggest difference between books and movie is that movies need actors, and books don't. Movies cost a lot of money, and books cost not that much. When you are reading a book, the book doesn't just show you the scene of that story, you have to have imagine the scene yourself. You can imagine the character's looking from the book description, and I think that will be very interesting. Also, books show the detail of that story, the details that people won't pay attention in the movie. The details can help the readers to understand or predict the plot of that story. Movies are different than books. In the movie, you don't need to imagine. The characters and the scenes of the story show up themselves. Also, movie doesn't show that much detail, sometimes they even skip parts of the story. For example in the book"The Outsiders", it spends about 1 chapter talks about Ponyboy comes home late, and Darry is very angry about that. In the movie, it only spends couple seconds to present that part. That shows the huge difference between books and movies. I think both movies and books had advantage and disadvantage. The advantage of movies is it helps you to overview the story. If you don't have time on reading books, you can watch movie instead. However, movies don't usually show the details. Books can help the readers to imagine, which makes them smarter. However, it takes too much time on reading a book.
